Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026

Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using FlashFile. By accessing our Service, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Introduction & Overview

Welcome to FlashFile ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using the FlashFile website and services at flashfile.pro (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before using our Service. FlashFile provides browser-based and server-assisted document and image conversion tools. Our goal is to offer fast, private, and reliable file processing with no unnecessary data collection or retention. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

User Responsibilities

By using FlashFile, you represent and warrant that: • You are at least 13 years of age, or have parental/guardian consent if under the age of majority in your jurisdiction. • You will use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. • You have the right, license, or authority to process any file you submit through the Service. • You will not upload files that contain malware, viruses, or any other harmful or destructive content. • You will not attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure. • You are solely responsible for the content of the files you process and for maintaining appropriate backups of your original files before using our Service.

Intellectual Property Rights

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality — including but not limited to the FlashFile name, logo, user interface, source code, and written content — are and will remain the exclusive property of FlashFile and its licensors. They are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain full ownership of any files you process through FlashFile. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over user-submitted files. Processing a file through our Service does not transfer ownership of that content to us in any way. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or commercially exploit any portion of the Service without our prior written consent.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FlashFile and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including without limitation loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses — resulting from: • Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service. • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service. • Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content. • Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in any content. • Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code that may be transmitted through the Service. In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service exceed one hundred US dollars (USD $100).

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. FlashFile expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that: • The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. • Any defects or errors will be corrected. • The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable. • Files will be converted without loss of quality, metadata, or formatting beyond what is inherent in the conversion process. You assume all risk for any damage to your computer system, loss of data, or other harm that results from using the Service.

File Processing & Storage

FlashFile processes files entirely within your web browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Tools including merge, split, compress, rotate, watermark, and image conversion all execute locally on your device. No file data leaves your device and your files are never transmitted to our servers. Because processing happens in your browser, your files exist only in your device's memory for the duration of the conversion. The moment you close the tab, refresh the page, or download your result, every trace of the file is gone permanently. We do not retain, archive, index, or analyze any file content. You acknowledge that client-side processing depends on your device's hardware capabilities and that results may vary. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of your original files before using our Service.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

FlashFile displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites on the internet. • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites. • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings at https://www.google.com/settings/ads. • You can opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info. Ads are shown with Google Consent Mode: personalised advertising cookies are only used where you have allowed them, and you can change your choice any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer. FlashFile does not control which ads are displayed and is not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements. For more information, see our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

User Conduct

You agree not to use the Service to: • Process files that infringe any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other proprietary right of any party. • Process files containing illegal content, including but not limited to child exploitation material, unlicensed copyrighted works, or content promoting violence. • Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network associated with the Service. • Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or use the Service in a manner that could impair or overburden our infrastructure. • Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security-related features of the Service. • Use the Service for commercial resale or in any manner that competes directly with FlashFile without our written consent. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for any user who violates these conduct requirements.

Modification of Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically for any changes. Your continued use of the Service after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you disagree with the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service immediately. For significant changes, we may provide additional notice through a prominent notice on the Service or by other means at our discretion.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. Since FlashFile does not require account registration for most features, termination primarily means we may block your access via IP address or other technical means if we determine you have violated these Terms. All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which FlashFile is registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If that fails, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction in our home jurisdiction. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
